It's the story of my adventure to Elbrus in September of 2013 for the Elbrus Race, a sporadically annual (that means it skips a few years here and there due to politics and weather, etc) Skyrunning Race (skyrunning is a sport of fast vertical ascent often including rock, snow, glacier and ice climbing).

I took my friend, protege, and padowan Todd Gilles, a champion figure skater and coach who I helped train for this event. It's a great story of teamwork, bonding, support, mentoring, and friendship. As a bonus, Kilian Jornet makes several appearances, as we were in the same hut at basecamp.

Revenge Of The Cat Woman: A Short Story Set in Old Japan by Yael Eylat-Tanaka My rating: 3 of 5 stars I'm not certain what happened here. It was pretty short, and not much happened aside from depressing cultural attitudes and events that were pretty much historically correct. No one here was particularly easy to empathize with. The "Cat Woman" was pretty passive. The Cat was pretty passive. The antagonist was stated to be aggressive. It ended in a "he got his" way, but it was still unsatisfying.
